First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a new surgical technique called septum-guided segmentectomy for people with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (tumors 2 cm or smaller) located deep in the lung. The goal is to remove the cancer completely while preserving as much healthy lung as possible, which may help maintain breathing function. About 89 participants will undergo the procedure and be followed for 3 years to check for cancer recurrence and recovery.
