First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests a new surgical technique called septum-guided segmentectomy for people with small, early-stage lung cancer located deep in the lung. The goal is to remove the cancer completely while saving as much healthy lung tissue as possible, which may help preserve breathing function. About 89 participants will have the surgery and be followed for 3 years to check for cancer return and recovery.
