Can sensory play help kids chew better?
NCT ID NCT07209800
Summary
This study tested whether whole-body sensory integration therapy could improve chewing skills and mealtime behaviors in children with chewing difficulties. Thirty-one children aged 3-12 participated in therapy sessions three times weekly for four weeks, involving exercises like crawling, brushing, and oral-motor activities. Researchers compared chewing performance and meal duration before and after therapy to see if the approach helped.
