Testicular cancer trial aims to slash relapse risk with stronger chemo

NCT ID NCT02341989

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study compares two chemotherapy approaches for men with stage I seminoma testicular cancer who have a higher risk of the cancer coming back. One group gets a single round of the standard drug carboplatin, while the other gets a stronger combination of three drugs (BEP). The goal is to see if the stronger treatment lowers the chance of relapse more effectively. About 348 men aged 18-59 with tumors larger than 4 cm or invasion of the rete testis are taking part.
