One-Week drug break before procedure: does it make a difference?
NCT ID NCT07152756
Summary
This study aims to find out if stopping the diabetes/weight-loss drug semaglutide for one week before a sedated endoscopy is safe and effective. Researchers will compare people who stop the drug for a week to those who never took it, checking for leftover stomach contents and how well the doctor can see the stomach lining during the procedure. The goal is to help create better safety guidelines for patients needing this common test.
