Summary
This study tests whether semaglutide, a drug already approved for diabetes and weight loss, can improve asthma control and reduce airway inflammation in adults with obesity who still have asthma symptoms despite using inhaled steroids. About 100 participants will receive either semaglutide or a placebo for up to 24 weeks. The goal is to see if the drug helps both asthma and weight, offering a new treatment option for obesity-related asthma.
