Summary
This early study is testing whether semaglutide, a medication used for weight loss and diabetes, might help people who've had weight loss surgery and also struggle with alcohol use disorder. Researchers will give the drug to a small group of 10 participants to see if it's practical to use and if it reduces both alcohol use and weight. The goal is to see if this approach could help control alcohol problems in this specific at-risk group.
