Peptide and laser team up to fight early tooth decay
NCT ID NCT07574814
First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether a self-assembly peptide, with or without laser treatment, can help repair early cavities. Thirty adults with active early decay received one of three remineralizing agents, and their teeth were checked right after treatment, at six months, and at one year. The goal was to see if these treatments could reverse the earliest stage of tooth decay without drilling.
