New study tests best way to ease pain during thyroid nodule treatment

Summary
This study will compare two ways to manage pain during a procedure that uses heat to shrink benign thyroid nodules. Half of the 52 participants will receive sedation (medicine to make them sleepy and relaxed), and the other half will receive numbing medicine injected around the thyroid. The goal is to see which method provides better pain control and comfort during and after the procedure.
