First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using sedation instead of general anesthesia helps people having a specific type of stroke (vertebrobasilar) recover better after a procedure to remove a blood clot. About 128 adults with moderate to severe stroke symptoms will be enrolled. The goal is to see if sedation leads to better functional outcomes and fewer complications.
