First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving sedation (medication to help you relax) during cataract surgery improves patient comfort and satisfaction. About 120 adults having routine cataract surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either no sedation, a mild sedative, or a sedative plus a painkiller. The goal is to find the best balance between keeping patients calm and avoiding side effects.
