Screws vs wires: which mends a broken wrist best?

NCT ID NCT07523386

First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study compares two ways to surgically fix a broken wrist: using small screws (cannulated screws) or thin wires (K-wires). About 34 adults with a certain type of wrist fracture will be treated with one method or the other. The goal is to see which approach leads to better bone healing, grip strength, and fewer complications.
