This study looked at whether injecting a sugar-water solution around the sciatic nerve, using ultrasound guidance, could safely reduce sciatica pain in the emergency department. 69 adults with acute sciatica took part. Researchers checked if the procedure was feasible, safe, and effective for short-term pain relief compared to standard medicines.
