Needle and zap: new hope for stubborn sciatica pain?

NCT ID NCT07377357

Summary

This study is testing whether a single 30-minute session of electrical stimulation delivered near the sciatic nerve can reduce leg pain from long-term sciatica. Researchers will compare this treatment to three other options, including a placebo, in 88 adults who have had pain for over six months. The goal is to find a safe, non-drug, non-surgical therapy that provides immediate and short-term pain relief and improved function.
