Gentle nerve stretch may help back pain sufferers regain balance

NCT ID NCT07588919

First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a gentle technique called sciatic neural mobilization can immediately improve balance and body awareness in people with low back pain that also radiates into the leg. Fifty-two adults will receive either the real nerve mobilization or a sham version, along with standard physical therapy. Researchers will measure balance, muscle tension, and pain sensitivity right before and after a single session.
