School nurses teach kids to spot health problems early

NCT ID NCT07582939

First seen May 31, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests a program led by school nurses to help middle school students (ages 10-13) better understand common symptoms like headaches or stomachaches and know when and how to seek help. About 280 students will be split into two groups: one gets the nurse-led education, the other continues normal activities. The goal is to see if the program improves students' health choices and reduces unnecessary visits to the school nurse.
