Blood clues could unlock thinking fog in schizophrenia

NCT ID NCT07139171

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at tiny particles called exosomes in the blood of people having their first episode of schizophrenia. Researchers want to see if these particles carry signals that are linked to problems with memory, attention, and other thinking skills. The goal is to better understand what causes these cognitive issues and find new targets for future treatments. The study will involve 300 participants, including healthy volunteers for comparison.
