New schizophrenia drug aims to sharpen minds in Year-Long trial

Summary

This study is testing whether a newer schizophrenia medication, Xanomeline/Trospium (XT), can improve thinking, memory, and concentration over one year of treatment. It will involve about 171 adults with schizophrenia who are already on stable medication. The main goal is to see if XT helps with cognitive problems, which are common in schizophrenia but not well treated by current drugs.
