Scientists search for schizophrenia clues in the blood
NCT ID NCT07434388
Summary
This study aimed to better understand schizophrenia by measuring levels of two specific proteins in the blood. Researchers compared 30 hospitalized patients experiencing a severe episode of schizophrenia with 30 healthy volunteers. They checked if these protein levels were linked to symptom severity, overall functioning, and signs of body-wide inflammation.
