First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study surveyed nearly 1,000 students in Pemba, Tanzania, to find out what they know, think, and do about schistosomiasis—a parasitic disease spread in freshwater. Community health volunteers led the education efforts. The goal was to measure changes in infection rates and knowledge after the program, helping to design better prevention campaigns for Africa.
