First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether scented nose plugs make smell training more effective for people with a reduced sense of smell after a viral infection like COVID-19. 120 adults with hyposmia were split into two groups: one did regular smell training, the other used scented nose plugs. Researchers measured smell function, quality of life, and how well participants stuck with the training over two months.
