First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a team-based care program can lower the risk of death for pregnant women with sickle cell disease in a non-academic hospital in Ghana. About 198 women aged 18-45 with confirmed sickle cell disease and a pregnancy of 34 weeks or less will take part. The program uses a care plan adapted from an academic hospital to improve outcomes.
