New combo therapy aims to stop liver cancer from growing back

NCT ID NCT04996914

First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a precise, high-dose radiation treatment (SBRT) after a standard liver cancer procedure (TACE) can better control tumors that cannot be surgically removed. About 30 adults with early- to intermediate-stage liver cancer will receive the combination and be followed for one year to see if the treated tumors stop growing. The goal is to improve local control without requiring lifelong medication.
