Summary

This study tests whether empagliflozin, a drug used for diabetes, can lower uric acid levels and reduce inflammation in people with gout. Sixty adults with gout and high urate levels will receive either empagliflozin or a placebo for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if this drug can help control gout and prevent flares.
