New drug aims to free patients from frequent blood draws

Summary

This study is testing an investigational drug called sapablursen to see if it can reduce the need for frequent therapeutic blood draws (phlebotomy) in people with polycythemia vera. About 50 participants will receive injections under the skin for about 8 months to see if the treatment works and is safe. The main goal is to help patients manage their condition with fewer medical procedures.
