New drug could cut down on Blood-Letting for rare blood cancer patients

Summary
This study tests a drug called sapablursen in about 50 adults with polycythemia vera, a rare blood cancer that causes too many red blood cells. Participants currently need regular blood removal (phlebotomy) to manage their condition. The goal is to see if the drug can reduce how often they need phlebotomy and improve their symptoms. The study is open-label, meaning everyone knows they are getting the drug, and lasts 37 weeks.
