First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested a new surgical method called 'sandwich mesh repair' for treating lumbar incisional hernias, which are hard to fix because of nearby bone. Ten adults with primary inguinal hernia received the procedure. The main goal was to see if the hernia came back, and the study also tracked fluid buildup after surgery.
