Could simple saltwater boost antibiotic power against eye infections?
NCT ID NCT07452588
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a concentrated saltwater solution (5% sodium chloride) to standard antibiotic eye drops helps people with bacterial eye infections heal faster. Researchers will compare two groups: one using antibiotics plus the saltwater drops, and another using antibiotics alone. They want to see if the saltwater helps clear the infection quicker, speeds up healing of the eye's surface, and leads to better vision recovery.
