Could fish oil ease lung disease and protect the heart?
NCT ID NCT05130294
Summary
This study aimed to see if a dietary supplement made from unrefined salmon oil (called CARDIO®) could help people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Researchers wanted to find out if taking the supplement for 20 weeks could reduce harmful inflammation in the body, improve breathing, and lower the risk of heart problems. The study was designed to compare the supplement against a placebo in about 100 participants, but it was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
