Summary
This study aimed to find out if certain inflammation markers in saliva can be used to diagnose gum disease. Researchers collected saliva from 60 people with healthy gums, gingivitis, or periodontitis. They measured three specific proteins to see if their levels differed between the groups and could serve as a reliable diagnostic tool.
