Spit test could catch gum disease before It's too late
NCT ID NCT06576856
Summary
This study aimed to find a way to detect gum disease earlier than current methods allow. Researchers analyzed saliva samples from 106 adults to see if certain proteins and minerals could signal the onset of the disease before visible damage occurs. The goal is to develop a simple test that could predict gum disease risk, allowing for earlier preventive care.
