First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested a medicated patch containing 40% salicylic acid to treat common and plantar warts in 30 people aged 6 and older. The patch works by softening and peeling off the wart layer while covering the area to prevent spreading. Researchers measured wart size reduction, number of warts, and any side effects to see if the patch is safe and effective.
