First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study checks the safety of a radioactive substance called N-13 ammonia, used in heart PET scans to see if arteries are blocked. About 20,000 adults who need a heart PET scan will receive this tracer, and researchers will watch for any side effects. The goal is to make sure the tracer is safe and works well, but it does not treat any disease.
