This study tested the safety of a drug called pegcetacoplan given through a prefilled syringe for people with geographic atrophy, a form of age-related macular degeneration that causes vision loss. 44 adults aged 60 and older received the injection in one eye. The goal was to see if the new syringe is safe and easy for doctors to use.
