New scan could Fine-Tune cancer radiation therapy
NCT ID NCT06122610
Summary
This study aims to see if a special type of PET scan (using Detectnet) can help doctors plan Lutathera radiation therapy more safely for patients with neuroendocrine tumors. Researchers will compare the new scan method against the current standard to see if it can better predict radiation doses to tumors and healthy organs. The goal is to personalize treatment to maximize tumor damage while minimizing harm to kidneys and bone marrow.
