New breathing technique aims to make throat cancer exams safer

Summary
This study is testing whether a newer high-flow oxygen delivery method is as safe and effective as the standard method during exams of the throat, voice box, and food pipe. It aims to reduce risks like bleeding and tooth damage for patients while improving the surgeon's view during the procedure. The study will involve 610 adults undergoing this type of exam under general anesthesia.
