First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests a safer way to give oxygen before anesthesia for major spinal surgery. Instead of complex devices, doctors use standard oxygen methods adjusted to each patient's real-time oxygen and circulation levels. The goal is to keep the heart and brain more stable during the start of anesthesia. About 90 adults having major spine surgery will take part.
