Summary

This completed study tested the Circle of Security Parenting program for foster carers in France. 70 foster carers were randomly assigned to either the program plus usual support or usual support alone. Researchers measured changes in caregiver sensitivity, stress, and relationship quality to see if the program helps improve bonds with children aged 1 to 6 years.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could point toward a practical way to help foster carers build stronger, more secure relationships with children in their care.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study with only 70 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The program may not show clear benefits over usual support.
