Bar staff training may curb sexual violence – study launches

Summary
This study tests whether a training program called Safe Bars can reduce sexual violence in bars and similar venues. Researchers will compare venues that receive the training to those that do not, surveying staff and patrons over 12 months. The goal is to see if trained staff intervene more often in risky situations and if fewer incidents of sexual assault or harassment occur.
