Summary
This study looked at how a new preventive medicine called nirsevimab changed the number of RSV infections and hospital visits in children under 2 years old. Researchers used routine health data from over 2,300 kids in the Australian Capital Territory to compare RSV cases before and after the medicine was introduced. The goal was to see if nirsevimab helped reduce serious RSV illness and emergency room visits.
