Double defense against RSV: new study tests mom vaccine plus baby shot

NCT ID NCT07232706

First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving both an RSV vaccine to pregnant women and an RSV antibody shot to their babies prevents RSV infection better than giving only the baby shot. About 1,000 pregnant women in France will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The study will track how many babies get RSV by 12 months old and check for side effects.
