Skin patch trial aims to slow devastating kidney disease

NCT ID NCT06291116

Summary

This study is testing whether a low-dose dopamine patch (rotigotine) is safe and tolerable for people with inherited polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) over two years. It will involve 120 adults with ADPKD to see if the patch can help slow the disease's progression and protect kidney and heart health. The main goal is to check for side effects, while also gathering early information on whether the treatment helps preserve kidney function.
