Dentists test bleach strength to ease root canal pain

NCT ID NCT07453576

Summary

This study aims to find out if using different strengths of a common cleaning solution (sodium hypochlorite, similar to diluted bleach) during a repeat root canal procedure affects how much pain patients feel afterward. Researchers will measure levels of natural pain and inflammation chemicals inside the tooth before and after cleaning. Sixty adults needing a second root canal treatment on a specific tooth will be randomly assigned to receive one of three solution strengths, and their pain will be tracked.
