First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a robot to remove one kidney in people with polycystic kidney disease is safer and leads to a shorter hospital stay than traditional open surgery. Researchers will compare 57 adult patients who had either robotic or open surgery. The goal is to see if the robotic approach reduces complications and speeds up recovery, even though it may take longer in the operating room.
