Robot helps doctors target cancer with pinpoint accuracy
NCT ID NCT05529979
Summary
This study tested a robotic device called EPIONE® that helps doctors place needles more accurately during CT-guided procedures in the abdomen, often for cancer. It involved 55 patients and aimed to see how well and safely the robot-assisted system worked in real-world use. The main goal was to measure if the robot could successfully guide the needle to the right spot to allow the planned treatment to proceed.
