First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether letting children interact with a social robot during wound dressing reduces their fear and pain. Sixty kids aged 5 to 10 took part, with half playing with the robot while getting bandaged. Researchers measured fear and pain using child-friendly scales. The goal was to see if distraction with a robot makes the experience less stressful.
