Robotic walk training shows promise for kids with cerebral palsy

NCT ID NCT07469696

First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding robot-assisted walking training to standard physical therapy helps children with cerebral palsy move better, breathe easier, and do more in daily life. Twenty-four children aged 8-16 with spastic cerebral palsy will take part. The robot helps guide their legs during walking practice, and researchers measure changes in motor skills, lung function, and overall ability after 12 weeks.
