New splint study aims to get stiff fingers moving again

NCT ID NCT06646029

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This pilot study tests whether a special finger splint called a Relative Motion Orthosis (RMO) helps people regain finger movement after an injury better than standard care alone. About 64 adults with stiff finger joints will be randomly assigned to receive either standard therapy or standard therapy plus the RMO. The main goal is to see if the splint improves range of motion and hand function.
