First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tested two different materials (titanium-reinforced dense PTFE and reinforced PTFE mesh) for rebuilding lost jawbone in 14 people who needed dental implants. Researchers measured how much new bone grew vertically and horizontally using 3D X-rays over 12 months. The goal was to see which material worked better for bone regrowth and healing.
