New injection tested to regrow hair in severe alopecia

Summary

This study is testing whether an investigational drug called rezpegaldesleukin, given as an injection, can help regrow hair in adults with severe to very severe alopecia areata. About 94 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo (an inactive substance) for 36 weeks to compare results. The main goal is to see how much the percentage of scalp hair loss changes from the start of the study.
